HubSpot cost in Australia depends on which tier fits your team. Free, Starter or Professional cover most owner-led firms. Enterprise is for larger teams with stricter rules. Prices below are AUD before GST, at the time of writing.

What the whole business gets at each level
You're running a 20-person trade business. Everyone asks the same thing: where does this customer live in our system, and who spoke to them last?
HubSpot puts sales, marketing and service on one shared CRM database. Start on Free. Buy Starter or a Professional hub when the team outgrows the basics.
Free (A$0, up to two users). Contacts, deal pipelines, tickets in a shared inbox, forms, basic email marketing, live chat and a simple reporting dashboard. Branding stays on some free tools. Two users is the ceiling.
Starter (from A$11 a seat a month on offer). Paid seats for more people. Branding comes off meeting links and chat. You get more email templates, team meeting links and light sales automation (up to 50 workflows with restricted triggers on Sales Hub). A workflow is a rule that runs steps for you. Starter is one plan across the hubs, priced per seat.
Professional. Full automation, phone support as well as email, and a one-time onboarding fee. An onboarding fee is HubSpot's one-time setup charge on Professional and Enterprise. Sales Hub and Service Hub Professional are A$140 a seat a month on annual billing. Marketing Hub Professional starts at A$1,241 a month, with three Core Seats and 2,000 marketing contacts. A Core Seat is a login for someone who edits records but does not hold a Sales or Service seat. A marketing contact is someone you mark for marketing email or ads.
Enterprise, briefly. Higher limits and stricter controls. Most owner-led businesses never need it. Free to test, Starter to share one process, Professional when automation and reporting have to run the business: that is as far as most teams go.
- FreeA$0
- Suits teams that only need customer records in one place for up to two people.
- StarterFrom A$11
- Suits teams that need shared meeting links, more templates and light automation.
- ProfessionalFrom A$140
- Suits teams that need sequences, full workflows, forecasting or campaign automation.
Sales: when Free, Starter or Pro fits
Your sales rep is copying the same follow-up email into 20 deals a week. That is the upgrade signal.
Free covers. Contacts and deal pipelines. Up to three email templates. One personal meeting link with HubSpot branding. Live chat with branding. Basic 1-to-1 email. Enough when every customer only needs to sit in one list.
Outgrown Free. Need Starter when: more than two people need a login. Reps need shared meeting links without HubSpot branding. Or you want light sales automation. Starter allows up to 50 workflows with restricted triggers and actions.
Need Professional when: you need sequences. A sequence is a set of timed follow-up emails and tasks. HubSpot lists sequences on Professional, not Starter. Or you need fully customisable workflows (up to 300), forecasting or playbooks. Playbooks are guided scripts reps fill in on a call.
This is as far as most sales teams need to go. Professional covers sequences, automation and forecasting for a small sales floor. Enterprise adds more advanced call tools. Skip it until you can name that need.
Marketing: when Free, Starter or Pro fits
Someone filled in a form on your site last night. This morning nobody knows who owns the lead. "Where did they come from" lives in three spreadsheets.
Free covers. Forms and landing pages. Email marketing with HubSpot branding. HubSpot's Marketing pricing lists 2,000 email sends a calendar month on Free. Basic web analytics. Good for simple capture and the odd campaign.
Outgrown Free. Need Starter when: you need more email volume. You want to send from your own domain so inboxes trust the mail. You want HubSpot branding removed. Starter also adds basic CTAs and one-page SEO tips. A CTA is a button or form prompt on your site.
Need Professional when: you need full campaigns, stronger automation and reporting. Marketing Hub Professional starts at A$1,241 a month on annual billing (A$1,380 monthly). That includes three Core Seats, 2,000 marketing contacts and A$4,320 onboarding. HubSpot also lists custom CTA targeting, social tools and customisable traffic analytics on Professional. Reports that credit every touch before a sale sat on Enterprise on the page we checked. Do not buy Pro for that alone.
This is as far as most marketing teams need to go. Professional is the usual ceiling for an owner-led firm. Enterprise is for larger marketing teams that need tighter control at scale.
Service: when Free, Starter or Pro fits
A customer emails support, then rings the workshop, then messages the sales rep. Three people answer. None of them see the other two threads.
Free covers. Ticketing into a shared inbox. HubSpot's free CRM page lists that. Live chat with HubSpot branding. Limited chatbots. Enough when one or two people handle every issue by hand.
Outgrown Free. Need Starter when: you need branding removed from chat. Or more seats. Or calling minutes inside HubSpot. Starter lists 500 calling minutes.
Need Professional when: you need customer feedback surveys. HubSpot lists NPS, CES and CSAT limits on Professional. Or a knowledge base (one site, up to 2,000 articles). Or more calling minutes (3,000). Or richer bots. A knowledge base is a self-serve help site customers read before they email you.
This is as far as most service teams need to go. Professional covers feedback, a help library and stronger desk tools. We did not see SLAs listed on Professional on HubSpot's Service pricing table at the time of writing. We do not claim them here.
How far can you push Free and Starter
You're not ready to pay Professional money. Fair. Here's the honest ceiling.
Free gets you organised. Contacts, deals, tickets, forms and basic email in one database. Cap: two users. Branding stays on several free tools. Free marketing email is modest (2,000 sends a month with branding). When a third person needs in, Free is done.
Starter gets the process shared. More seats, branding off meeting links and chat, many more templates, team meeting links and light automation. It will not give you Sales Hub sequences. Those start on Professional. It will not give you Marketing Hub's full campaign stack. It will not give you Service Hub feedback surveys or a knowledge base. Those sit on Professional on the pages we checked.
Stay on Starter until you can name the Professional feature you'll use every week. If you can't name it, stay put. Plenty of teams pay for Professional and still work like Starter.

Why HubSpot over other CRMs
A sales CRM plus a separate email tool can look cheaper per seat. Add forms and a help desk, and nobody sees the full customer story. HubSpot keeps sales, marketing and service on one system, updating the same contact.
A fair compare still matters. Pipedrive Growth lists US$39 a seat a month billed annually on Pipedrive's pricing page. That page showed USD, not AUD, at the time of writing. Check Pipedrive for current pricing. Salesforce Pro Suite lists from AU$140 a user a month on Salesforce AU CRM pricing. HubSpot Sales Hub Professional is A$140 a seat a month on annual billing, plus A$2,160 onboarding. Cheaper per seat is not the same as cheaper overall. Count seats, onboarding and extra tools. Ask whether your team sees one customer story or three.
